A proud graduate of the University of Canterbury, Sina has over 18 years' experience in consulting engineering as a Chartered Professional Engineer (Civil). She also holds an MBA and is partway to completing a PhD in construction management. A former member of the Engineering NZ Governing Board, she's currently serving on the board of the CEAS, the Engineering NZ Foundation and the Engineering NZ Competence Assessment Board - she's believes in giving back to the profession. In 2021 she was awarded the Engineering New Zealand Fulton-Downer Gold Medal for her contribution to the profession. She's also a member of the Institute of Directors and ACE NZ.
Sina's experience in construction procurement and delivery covers a wide range of major multidisciplinary projects, including PPPs and JVs. She has depth of experience as Engineer to Contract, Project Director and Procurement Manager roles. Her technical background as an engineer adds value to her services. Her strength in tendering and construction procurement is based on both hands-on experience in the industry, and leading academic research - particularly relationship management. In her spare time she serves in a number of governance roles across a range of organisations including the North Otago Irrigation Company, the Cashmere High School Board, and CEAS. She's also currently serving on the Canterbury-Kaikoura Lotteries Committee and the Christ Church Cathedral Reinstatement Review Panel. And she has strong passion for Aussie shiraz.
